If you are looking for a private getaway, within an hour’s access from Johannesburg or Pretoria, you will find STONE HILL nestled among the hills of the Magaliesberg.

Situated on a private bushveld farm and perched high above the distant village of Magaliesburg, Stone Hill offers 6 top class, fully equipped and luxurious self-catering timber cottages, accommodating from 2 to 8 guests each. All have open plan lounges, fully fitted kitchens, bedrooms and full bathrooms. Each cottage has a large verandah and braai area and each is spaced far apart from the next cottage and is completely private.

In winter we keep you warm and cozy with electric blankets and indoor log fireplaces!

We are a family and pet friendly venue and welcome children of all ages and all breeds of house trained and socialized dogs and other pets. Each cottage and its garden is entirely encompassed by a fence for your pet’s peace of mind! The small splash pool is within easy reach of the cottages and the view down the valley is breathtaking. We have LCD TV's with selected DSTV channels.

For the romantics, Stone Hill has one private B&B Garden Suite with DSTV, in a separate wing next to the main house, accommodating a maximum of 2 guests. A large scrumptious breakfast is served at your leisure in the morning.

We have introduced a 5 km walking trail where you can fully experience the peace and tranquility of the veld and your dog/s can run unleashed. There are concrete benches along the way for the weary to catch their breath! Please remember to pack water bowls and drinks for the walk! We require dog owners to please remember to keep rabies jabs up to date and that your dogs are medicated for ticks and fleas before coming to Stone Hill.

There is a wide variety of indigenous small game and birdlife at Stone Hill. A number of sightings include Jackal, Duiker, Warthog, Porcupine, Snakes, Ticks, Scorpions, Bats, Vultures, a large variety of insects and birds. You need to walk carefully and quietly to see them as they are notoriously shy! For the flora lovers, a mosaic of indigenous plants can be seen on the farm.
